Bezos is the founder of Amazon, the world’s biggest online retailer. Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, the company sells a wide variety of products and services through it’s flagship website. Additionally, over 40% of the internet is hosted on Amazon’s cloud computing services (Amazon Web Services or AWS), including Netflix, Pinterest, Slack, Spotify, Airbnb, and Expedia. On June 16th, Amazon acquired the Whole Foods grocery chain with over 450 locations across the US in a deal valued at around $13.6 billion. It also controls the Whole Foods grocery chain and offers cloud computing and video streaming services. Amazon reported revenue of $233 billion in 2018.
